About us

Our chapter

The Pensacola Chapter of the Weston A. Price Foundation is… a group of people who appreciate nourishing foods based on the teachings of Dr. Weston A. Price and Sally Fallon’s cookbook Nourishing Traditions. The Weston A. Price Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring nutrient dense foods to the human diet through education, research and activism.

WAPF supports a number of movements that contribute to this objective including accurate nutrition instruction, organic and biodynamic farming, pasture-feeding of livestock, community-supported farms, honest and informative labeling, universal access to clean, certified raw milk, prepared parenting and nurturing therapies.

Dr. Price’s research demonstrated that humans achieve excellent physical form and health generation after generation only when they consume nutrient-dense whole foods and the vital fat-soluble activators found exclusively in animal fats.

We are glad to be able to provide this online resource because we have a passion for sharing with others about Holistic nutrition which includes consciously eating healthy foods that promote vibrant physical and mental health.   We have had a very personal journey as we have experienced first hand the ill effects of a compromised diet in the past which led us to seek out knowledge and wisdom concerning proper nutrition.

In particular, we witnessed our own younger son suffering from the effects of modern wheat and discovering that modern wheat has become very damaging to our health.
After Tom had concluded that it was the modern wheat that was the main culprit for our sons' digestive problems, we started out on a discovery journey that led us to change from using modern wheat to using Einkorn in our baking for the family and family owned bakery (Our daily bread bakery).
We discovered that Einkorn wheat has never been chemically or even naturally hybridized and unlike modern wheat, it doesn't have a dangerous gluten peptide that
has been shown to trigger the autoimmune response. There are so many traps out there in the food we buy and that is why we are here.

We would like to thank Scott and Vicki White very much for all their hard work and efforts in establishing the Pensacola local chapter, through their website, facebook page and WAP meetings and events. We look forward to hearing from you with ideas and names and numbers for this site!

Best wishes, Tom and Stephanie
